The Twitter API that we use for Twemes.com broke last night. No new tweets will show up at Twemes.com until Twitter fixes this.

We have had some software problems that have prevented us from updating our database over the last couple of hours. Fixed now. #twemes

#Twemes now has hashtag aggregation. Follow multiple tags via “live update”, RSS or widget. http://tinyurl.com/4orl6a

Tweme Aggregation

Twemes.com now allows you to follow multiple tags at the same time.  If you put multiple tags into the search box, page will be created that will aggregate those tags.  This will work for RSS feeds as well as the Tweme widget.  This is great for events where you know that different people will use various tags for the event.

From Fire to Ice

Due to the overwhelming demand for a change of color scheme, we have switch from our original “Fire” theme to an “Ice” theme. We haven’t lost the crazy background, just changed it’s color! We’ve got to keep something for the designers to complain about!

The mobile website (m.twemes.com) has also been transformed to these cooler colors. As an added bonus, the mobile website also has had some work done to it to speed it up. WE also added an additional “latest twemes” page similar in function to the Twemes.com main page. It shows you the 10 most recently tagged messages.

New Blocking Feature

Twemes.com has added a new blocking feature that will allow you to permanently block those who’s posts you find objectionable for some reason.  All past and future post from that person will no longer be displayed to you but this will not affect other people’s view of those same posts.  Be careful using this feature as once blocked, there is currently no way to unblock them short of deleting the cookie from your browser.  We use cookies to connect this information to your web browser so if you access Twemes.com from multiple web browsers you will have to block these users in each browser.

To use the block feature just click the link at the bottom of a tweet that says “block …”.

http://Twemes.com now has user blocking. Annoyed by someone’s tweets? Block them permanently and never see their tweets again! #twemes
